Our Top Issues

These are the main issues we focused on while choosing a candidate:

1. Taxation - We are anti-"Fair Tax", internet taxes, or any national sales tax scheme. This will put an uneccessary burden on the internet community.  We can't all become tax collectors. Many schemes include taxation of services.

2. Economic Growth and Development - Again, this problem has to do with the "Fair Tax". This will kill many small businesses that don't have the manpower to track or the resources to file more paperwork.

3. Immigration - We are concerned with immigration because illegal residents use the resources we all pay for, but they don't pay federal or state income taxes. Illegal immigrants also take valuable jobs from our citizens. We believe immigrants should get properly documented BEFORE entering the country - many have ignored the process and we shouldn't reward them for their efforts. The current systems of verification are not effective and must be overhauled - our pick must address this issue.

4. Health Care - We do not feel that it is the right of the federal government to force employers to provide health care. Any small business would feel the effects of this and most business owners are part of the middle-class.  Our endorsement will go to a candidate that has an alternative to forcing employers to provide coverage.

5. Education - It is necessary to provide a plan to educate our youth to keep us at the top in the technology world. The U.S. is slipping to too many countries in this area.

6. Education and Experience of the Candidate - A good candidate must have the proper credentials. Our endorsement will go to a candidate who know the concerns of small business owners and the technology community through real-life experience AND education.
