Mitt RomneyOverall Grade : A- Website : http://www.mittromney.com/ Bio : Willard Mitt Romney was born on March 12, 1947 in Detroit Michigan. He attended Brigham Young University, where he received his B.A. in 1971 with honors. He then went on to attend graduate school at Harvard University where he was awarded an MBA from Harvard Business School, being named a Baker Scholar, and a J.D., cum laude, from Harvard Law School in 1975. After graduating from Harvard, Mr. Romney worked his way into the position of vice president at management consulting firm Bain & Company Inc. After nearly a six year stint at Bain & Company, he founded his own venture capital and investment company, Bain Capital. He also has served on the boards of many businesses and non-profit organizations. After successfully starting his own business, Mr. Romney decided to enter politics. In 1994, he ran unsuccessfully as the Republican nominee for the U.S. Senate from Massachusetts against Ted Kennedy. After his failed senate campaign, he was presented with the opportunity and challenge of managing the 2002 Winter Olympics. With the 2002 games mired in controversy, he took over as president and CEO of the Salt Lake Organizing Committee roughly 2 years before the games were to begin. In 2002, after leading one of the most successful Olympic Games in history, he returned to Massachusetts where he was elected governor. He did not seek a second term, and entered the presidential race upon completion of his term as governor. His father is a former three-term governor of Michigan. Mr. Romney is married to Ann Davies and has five children.
